How many people are in a class?
Most of our CrossFit classes range from 8-12 people depending on the time you come. We limit attendance to no more than 16 people. Sometimes there are as few as three or four people in a class. Book your Free Trial Class today!
Are CrossFit classes at Surf City co-ed?
Our community and classes are co-ed, and our welcoming atmosphere creates a fun yet challenging experience. We have men and women of all ages and fitness levels in our classes. No matter where you’re starting from, we simply ask that you give your best effort—and we’ll meet you there.
Is there a free trial available?
Yes! We offer a free week to Orange County residents so you can experience our community before joining.
Can families join classes together?
Yes—our family CrossFit classes welcome parents and kids for shared workouts.
How do I get started?
Book your first non-sweat intro to allow our staff to get a better understanding of where you are at and your goals. Then we can get you to attend your first class!
What’s a typical CrossFit class like?
Class pace varies depending on the level, with some classes moving faster and others at a more measured pace. Each class begins with a coach explaining the workout of the day (WOD), followed by a structured warm-up that targets the specific muscles used in the workout. Coaches also review modification options for weight and movements based on the day’s programming.
Who teaches the classes?
You’ll build endurance and strength under the guidance of an experienced coach trainer. Our trainers will help scale each workout to your individual fitness level, so you’re challenged safely and effectively. We strongly encourage you to train at the gym, where an instructor can ensure proper form and help you get the most out of every workout without risking injury.
Do you offer CrossFit for beginners?
We offer a Foundations Course you can sign up for. Four 1-on-1 sessions with a coach to go over all the fundamental movements of CrossFit so you feel prepared when in a group class.
Does CrossFit Surf City offer nutrition coaching?
Yes, our nutrition coaching supports recovery, energy, and better results for all ages.
How much do the classes cost?
Our goal is to have you understand the real VALUE of CrossFit and not just the cost of it. For that reason, we want to invite you at NO COST to join us for a free full week (Orange County residents only).
